WA State Personal Injury Law Firm
In January 2016, we started working on organic and local SEO efforts for WA State Personal Injury lawyer Max Meyers.
Max's practice handles auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, and other types of personal injury cases in Kirkland, WA and the surrounding area.
In August 2015 when we started working on the project, the law firm website was not ranking among the top local search results on Google, Bing, or Yahoo!
For the majority of the search terms that we checked rankings for, they were on page 2 or 3 of the results, and not among the top Google Local "snack pack" results for local search queries.
We wanted to focus on cleaning up some on-page SEO factors such as page titles, meta descriptions, h1/h2 headings, etc.
We also wanted to improve user experience by presenting visitors with informative content directly from the home page. So we went into historical Google Analytics data and identified informative FAQ's that were "buried" within the website. We linked to these popular FAQ pages from the home page, improving CTR (click-thru-rates) and, as a result, organic search traffic.
We also focused on cleaning up the website's backlink profile, eliminating and combining thin pages of content, auditing hundreds of content pages, and other full-scale local SEO services such as Google My Business optimization, citation and backlink building, competitive analysis, and routine data analysis and reporting.
After 1 year of working on the project, we saw a 190% increase in organic search traffic, as well as continued improvements in keyword rankings.
Google Local rankings were starting to improve, and a number of the keyword searches that we were targeting were coming up as #1 on Google Local.
But even more importantly, the client constantly communicated to us that the phone was ringing more often, we were able to see increases in web form submissions and live chat sessions, and lead generation efforts were significantly improving.
By year 2, practically every keyword that we were targeting was ranking #1 (or among the top 2 results) on Google Organic, Local, and Mobile.
We monitor keyword rankings over time, and in August of 2017 we had more #1, top 5, and top 10 keywords than ever before.
We were also able to continue improving organic search traffic, seeing another 175% increase in organic search traffic when compared to the year prior!
Moving forward into 2018, following a website redesign, organic search traffic has seen even more improvements in the past few weeks.
Usually, following a website redesign, there is a period of a few weeks of transition time where crawl errors and re-indexing occurs. We saw a slight drop-off in rankings and organic traffic for a couple of weeks, but as of March 2018 the past 2 weeks have seen some of the best weeks yet as far as organic search traffic is concerned.
