By understanding and implementing effective SEO strategies, businesses can improve their organic visibility, attract targeted visitors, and ultimately drive conversions.

SEO in 2023: People still aren't using the YellowPages.

Reaching your target audience- local clients, online customers, whoever it may be- is the goal of any digital marketing campaign.

The evolution of Google over the years, from a basic search engine to local business directory, has replaced the Yellow Pages as consumers’ go-to resource when locating local businesses.

Are you staying ahead of your competitors on search engines, or are you losing market share to those who continue to evolve and have their finger on the pulse of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) moving forward?

Improve your local search engine visibility

One-third of all online consumers use the internet to search for local businesses daily, according to a 2019 Statista survey.

With Google dominating the search engine landscape, maintaining a 91.9% stronghold on search engine market share as of January 2022, you can understand why it’s crucial to your business to maintain a visible presence on search engines.

How Does SEO Actually Work?

Google as a search engine has evolved over the years. Over the last 15 years or so, dating back to the first Penguin update, Google has launched numerous search engine algorithm updates. This makes it important to work with an SEO provider that stays up-to-date on modern SEO tactics.

Some of the most important SEO factors to focus on in 2023 include:

  • On-Page Optimization: Meta data, headlines, internal linking, image optimization, content optimization.
  • Off-Page SEO: Link building, brand citations.
  • Technical SEO: Site structure, URL optimization, crawling, 301 redirects, schema.org markup, etc.
  • Local SEO: Google Business Profile optimization, local landing pages, local citations.
  • Data and Analysis: Traffic analytics, keyword ranking reports, Google Search Console data, A/B split testing.

How Does Website Design Affect SEO?

Website design is essential for SEO. The design of a website directly impacts the user experience, while the coding of a site can impact search engine crawlers’ ability to understand and rank a website.

An attractive and well-structured design improves user engagement, reduces bounce rates, and signals to search engines that the website is valuable and relevant.

Working with a digital marketing provider that has a full-scale understanding of both website development and SEO can make the difference between a seamless website transition, and months of traffic drops because your vendor dropped the ball. We see this far too often, and we have gained valuable knowledge over the years of everything that needs to be in place during the development phases to ensure your website maintains Google and search engine rankings.

Website Design Process

Here’s how our website design process usually goes:

1. Wireframe Design

This is where we begin the design process. We use your existing website and logo as our starting point to identify preferred colors and design preferences. We also ask you to send us a few URL’s of your competitors’ websites that you like. We then put together mockups of the home page and important interior pages (services, about us, blog, contact us, etc.) for you to review.

2. Development + Strategy

Once a website look and feel are approved, we begin developing your website on a staging server so that you’re able to track our progress as we go. We start moving over (or writing new) content, all while implementing important SEO factors such as 301 redirects, schema.org structured data markup, and SEO meta data. This is also where we begin keyword research and strategy implementation.

3. Launch

Once we’ve completed the development of your new website, along with optimizing it for search engines (SEO), your new website is ready to launch. We handle all aspects of the website launch, from DNS records to installing Google Analytics and Google Search Console. You and any employees that need access will be registered as users, and we begin the strategy execution phase.
