Google+ Local has gone through more name changes than Ron Artest, but they’re not the only Local resource that is going through a number of changes.
A recent blog post by Local SEO provider Local Visibility Systems does a great job pointing out recent changes in the Local SEO world. Some of these changes include:
- Recent changes to Bing Places
- Recent changes to ExpressUpdate, a top citation and information source for Google+ Local
- No more free listings to LocalEze, it’s now $300/listing
- New ways to claim listings on Citysearch, which has traditionally been an obstacle.
- and more…
These recent Local SEO changes are important when it comes to improving your law firm’s presence on Google+ Local, because the local results are more targeted and are more likely to be presented to search engine users who search for terms such as “(city) personal injury lawyer” and “(state) criminal defense attorney” which result in higher qualified leads being generated.
